The CPD vision

Every school needs to invest considerably in CPD if it is to continue to grow and develop. It needs to be cost-effective, and to have demonstrable impact of pupil outcomes. There is a need for ‘maintenance’ CPD – those sorts of activities which are ALWAYS needed. There is also often a need for something more out of the ordinary: responding to changes in staffing needs and experience and taking action to address issues with pupil outcomes.

Our rationale is to offer local training – led by local teachers – thus providing professional opportunities for aspiring middle leaders within our locality. Teachers leading the sessions will be given time and support to develop their materials.

By developing our local training and working together on action research projects we will grow our capacity to demonstrate that collectively we can raise standards in our schools – which in turn grow our capacity to support schools outside our immediate neighbourhood, and to attract DfE funding for our work.

We recognise how important it is to keep abreast of wider developments and will continue to invest in outside experts to lead professional learning alongside our locality work.

Action Research Projects

We will be applying for grants to run projects and shared programmes all through the academic year. Our bids have more chance of being successful if we can name schools who are committed to taking part. For further details and to register interest please contact us at info@ttatraining.co.uk.
